stashed

it does feel good to be employed.. im living the days i wish i could back when i was surrounded by dust-covered notes, xeroxes, reference books, etc etc.. the same that are in rapid frenzy cleaned, arranged subjectwise in an OCD-style order and pored over at the last minute.. i really do not miss those days when I used to shrug off the guilt of not preparing in advance.. way way in advance.. i could literally watch the days go past, as i give a sly fleeting glance at my notes, feel the pinch, and then move on to my guitar or go to the basketball court, and other times, sleep... (at 5 pm).

but, i guess it comes back to me,.. all my preparations, studies, readings, exams ought to come back to me some time.. and this job ensures it does so.. not that it requires me to rack my brain cells and recall some complicated taxa or formula... it jus makes sure im in touch with my subject just about enuf to make me go crazy one day and do even a phd!

but the best thing about the present is that i get weekends off!! i can sleep 15 hours a day on these 2 days and feel great about it,, and not think "oh no, i lost 30 hours in 2 days to only sleep, wen am i gona study!" ... i do encounter similar terms and text in my job.. the same ones i pored over endlessly about 12 hours before my exams.. but now, i can not understand it a little and get away with it.. thats the fun with academic editing!
