this aisle seat was witness!

its funny.. ur in the metal box, the BEST bus; ur absorbed in ur own thoughts regardless of whether ur standing or perched on the cushy seat... ur thinking of stuff as insane as world peace, as trivial as dogs and pigeons mating and as inconspicuous as road kill... ur lost in ur thought and then ... SchrEEcH!.. the driver makes his trademark tyre burning halts as some miscreant was running across the road who obviously lacked peripheral vision that if intact, would have allowed him to see the smalled vehicle on indian roads, the bus!! lumbering toward him.

the brat escaped, but the hapless standing passengers began an impromptu game of dominos and within an instant, they lay awkwardly on the human in front of them in a heap of grunts and MC, BCs .. some who had no idea of the brat's entry, attacked the driver, hurling abuses at the dude who's heart rate was soaring high til the cable tv wires hanging a few hundred feet over the traffic.

i was sitting, i was watching the scene unfold, i saw the brat running.. and right then, i knew the above would unfold. the pigeon and dog in my head stopped their intense activity... ok nt stopped, but they brought it down a good level or 2... i was imagining the tapori upfront swinging in the direction of the so-so attractive lady leaning on the metal post screwd onto the seat... not only did he miss the golden chance the brat brought.. as he fell, his face made awesome contact with the steel flooring of the bus.. and all i could think of was.. right, thats his punishment for countless bus rides he must hav spent ogling at bodyparts and the accidental 'feels and brushes'.

somehow, the idiotic 12-year-old was the messenger of justice and he delivering it with a face crunching bang... all the other's were fine.. and went home with a nice memory.. as did i

dialog chor

Ranjita:
why plumber?
Karthik:
ur guess is as good as mine
guess it made sense one fine day
fitted beautifully to some plot in my mind then
Ranjita:
oh one of those things...i get it.
Karthik:
n it jus stayed
yup
Sent at 12:28 AM on Monday
Ranjita:
nice lil mixed bag
Karthik:
:)
Ranjita:
and i like the randomness of your latest entry
Karthik:
its funny... coz
the more u look for inspiration for a blog entry or article or the sort... ul wind up more often than not, with somethin run of the mill
ul probably berate some lousy product u applied on ur hair
wen u set out being random
hehe
u knw wat helps?
pick out a single word... other than 'random'
and write al u can about it
a random story u suddenly were reminded abt wid the word.... an illegal use of the same in its noun form.. anything!
in the end, the sum of ur typings... looks pretty random
tats how i the mixed bag response :D
get*
Ranjita:
woh..interesting
Karthik:
hehe
i tend to type.. and continue doin so.
here too :D
yea.. i know... iv been in the wrong field for the 5th year running
Ranjita:
see that happens when you feel drawn to more than one thing
Karthik:
honestly.. wen i see today's youth planni n executing exactly wat they want... i cant help turn green with envy
wen i was 16, 18 watever, i had no clue
Ranjita:
today's youth...what are you 83?
Karthik:
lol
i meant
today's 16 n 17 yr olds
:D
10th n 12th pass!!
ok
Ranjita:
like that..hmm
Karthik:
lets consider case in point
ranjita ganesan
Ranjita:
sometimes i think they take themselves too seriously
Karthik:
she knew she wantd bmm b4 she took bmm
rite?
m i rite? or m i rite?
Ranjita:
ranjita ganesan had heart attacks before every math and science exam
ranjita ganesan also never understood money
she therefore went for humanities
Karthik:
but ranjita was smart enuf to circle bmm b4 she plunged in it
Ranjita:
decided she was too laidback for law
and decided to write for a living
Karthik:
now why cant i share that story?
i figured... since i was so damned good at drawing.. that architechture was for me
a smart alec frnd suggestd biology too had shitloads of drawing involved
so i thot, wat the heck
n here i am now
wondering wat the hell jus happened
writing comes naturally... correcting errors in the language thrills me.. unlike others who shun it off like it was a branch of the rat killing bmc conducts
i shuld totally b blogging this!
lol
Ranjita:
do that.
also
those rumors about the world coming to an end in 6 months are not true...so you can chase whatever dream
i'm still considering selling fruits for a living
Karthik:
6 months? i thot december 2012 was the d-day
Ranjita:
conflicting reports...confirms the invalidity.

"delightfully eloquent

is what im not... im an in-your-face kinda guy" .. i said this in my defence to a couple of my school friends as a retort to their accusation that im a smooth talker, walking talking chick bait!
yea, the same reaction u have on ur face right now to the above.. the same expression wore my face as a mask then.. they were not ready to accept my denial.. i insisted.. tried to prove that im me.. a 22-yr-old who looks and behaves like an 18-yr-old... to no avail
an empty plastic bisleri bottle hit my head one afternoon... i looked skyward but coultnt pin point the treacherous source..
the above 2 stories are not related.

parade

the skies were dull... so was the environment and the moods of the inhabitants around... it was barely 5 in the evening... yet, the skies, the people, everything was so much dipped in the cauldron of dullness... it was enough to divert me back to my room instead of the basketball court that was my haunt come sunday evenings... yet... only something severe could disillusion me.. prevent me from sticking to me sacred routine... no, it was'nt just the cold dull skies or the doldrums of that particular sunday.

my best guess 3 days later is that it signified something more profound... like it offered a preview of something larger than itself.. a signal... a sign of the times to come.. or of times that had passed before unnoticed... whatever it was, it didn't generate good vibes... i mean, the day i feel gloomy on a weekend at 5 in the evening, it is indeed a BAD sign.

on the other hand, i have 5 fingers.
