What does it take to rise above it all? To attain peace with oneself to such an extent to not care any more. When the larger picture has been realised, witnessed, felt, absorbed. Every other person's whims, fancies, needs, customizations cease to matter. Indifference is the pinnacle of human emotion. Others will argue that unconditional love is the top dude. What do these blissful idiots know. The only unconditional emotion left is like I said, indifference. Arguing any other emotion is pure is merely playing oneself. Create and live in that illusion all you want, it won't change the reality.
Life is dumbed down for most people. They settle for their routines, going by their business, mechanically, devoid of mental participation. Like brushing your teeth in the morning - do you take a conscious effort to seek your brush? Your hand does it all, doesn't it?
Life is one long stupor - a series of memorized events planned over time - events we program ourselves to follow. When certain events outside our control intervene, the chain of monotony breaks. You realize you're alone in your realization. Every one around you hums the same tune, day in n day out. You can be a total stranger to some one and yet, your lives match. Some pieces here and there might be different. We aren't as unique as we believe ourselves to be. Events make us, shape us. Like bubbles in a sauna bath. We only have this illusion that the control is in our hands - that we can turn the switch at our beck and call. Our lives are so fragile, yet we believe we're our own fates' masters.
i find your play of words intriguing. its interesting that you compare bliss to indifference. and yet you speak disapprovingly of the mundane that comes from indifference. i dont recall anything fun that ever came out of that. do you?
